Knox chest protection is courtesy of a low-profile Micro-Lock chest protector to fit all Knox Armoured Shirts and Jackets. All are available as aftermarket upgrades to existing body armour. Micro-Lock offers a snug, soft fit to the wearer but thanks to its SMART technology it locks in the case of an impact and absorbs a significant amount of energy before it gets to the wearer’s torso. The chest protector comes in a mesh carrier with a Velcro fitting system that will fit any standalone Knox Armoured shirt. Its breathable perforated design is great for ventilation and the removable soft mesh cover is washable to allow for fresh year round wear. They are available in one size and are CE certified to EN 1621 – 3 which makes them a level 1 protector.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Storage: Hang garment in a dry, ventilated environment, out of sunlight and away from direct heat sources. Do not leave on the floor or under heavy items – it may lead to the protectors becoming misshapen, ripped, or damaged in some way. Do not fold jacket or protector in half as this may cause damage to the protector. Keep away from chemical substances that that could damage the material and lose its protective properties.

Maintenance: Regular inspection (at least annually) should be made to the impact protection and fitting system for obvious signs of wear. If the impact protectors are worn or damaged or there is any doubt as to their condition, they should be replaced immediately. It is advised that the protectors are replaced every 5 years regardless of condition.

If the protectors have at any time received an impact due to an accident scenario they should be replaced immediately.

Wash Care:  Carefully remove protectors from the garment before washing. The protectors should be cleaned by hand wash only.
