KNOXKnox back protector Aegis 5 plates V14

Knox Aegis – Professional Level 2 Back Protector

The Aegis is Knox's best-selling back protector, setting the standard for both protection coverage and freedom of movement. By combining a hard outer shell with flexible honeycomb technology, the Aegis is the preferred choice for track racers and extreme sports enthusiasts. Its design ensures maximum coverage of the spine, from the shoulders down to the tailbone, without restricting movement during dynamic riding.

Key Technical Features:

• Hybrid Protection: A system of articulating plates slides over a shock-absorbing honeycomb structure. This allows the protector to contour perfectly to the spine in any position—from standing upright to being fully tucked behind a motorcycle windscreen.

• Open Cell Technology: The Aegis features a highly efficient ventilation system. The use of open-cell structures and British spacer fabric ensures continuous airflow, preventing overheating even in extremely high temperatures.

• Multi-Sport Durability: The protector has been rigorously tested in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +40°C. This makes it an ideal choice not only for motorcyclists but also for skiers, snowboarders, and mountain bikers (MTB).

• Customizable Fit: An adjustable waist belt, supported by additional side adjustment straps, allows the protector to sit securely against the spine. The quick-release shoulder straps can be crossed for added stability or used to attach the optional Knox chest protector.

Technical Specification:

• Certification: CE Approved to EN1621-2:2014 Level 2—the highest standard for back protection.

• Comfort: An internal EVA foam layer enhances shock absorption and overall wearing comfort.

• Hygiene: The removable liner is machine washable, making it easy to keep the protector fresh throughout the season.

• Extra Safety: Features removable kidney protectors; the 8-plate Race version includes additional tailbone protection.

• Sizing: Offers the widest range of Unisex sizes on the market (from 5 to 9 plates), accurately selected based on torso length (from 400mm to 525mm).

• Availability: Classic black finish; compatible with the optional Micro-Lock chest protector.

Intended Use: For professionals and enthusiasts seeking uncompromising back protection with the largest possible coverage area. The Aegis is a proven choice for the racetrack, mountain slopes, and demanding bike trails.
